I really don't think it's right. marriage is about commitment and living together to test things out is like staying indoors with with one hand on the door ready to run out if things go haywire. Like someone said the guy basically gets a live-in helper.

if you guys date and you spend enough time together you can get to know if you can live together. the occasional weekend is good cos it will give enough signs of what you can and can't live with so you can make up your mind.

my pastor says if the man can't hold himself for you then what makes you think that after you marry he won't go outside. besides even if you move in and you are servicing the guy, there's no law that says he still can't go out.

yourba's have a saying 'if you pound yam inside leaves and put the soup in groundnut shells, the person that will be filled will be filled'...literally saying that moving in with a man will not stop the man that wants to misbehave.

As a guy, if a chic offers that to me on a platter, who am I to resist ?

I strongly think that as the years have gone by, we as a people have lost all sense of responsibility especially when it comes to issues of marriage, sex and relationships. The idea of living together before marriage shouldn't even come up because culturaly it's not right for you to take some ones daughter and just make her your woman wether short or long term with out carrying out the traditional rights that would make that arrangement legal and acceptable. But, i guess what we call civilization and modern day lifestyle has changed all of that and that which was originally seen to be wrong and unacceptable now the nor of the day....But i strongly believe that there has to be some moral standard to what we done, how we do it with recourse for society and our culture and traditions.

I can't do it so i don't even encourage it. This situation been discussed now is been caused by so many factors, i will just mention few. in some instances,ladies who are due for marriage and have been disappointed severally by their fiance who easily fall into this trap of living with ANY MAN that comes her way. Another situation is when a lady is been pressuried by all and sundry to get married. When the pressure seems too much they can pack out of their parents' house and move in with their male friends. there are other reasons which am going to talk about later. Ladies and gentlemen, Let us do things they way it should be so that our generation will not leave a bad legacy behind for the coming ones.......
