Financial stability vs Love

Would you forfeit intimacy, love and happiness for financial stability?

Are they necessarily exclusive of each other?

No, not necessarily. However, situations arise where you have to choose between someone you like but cannot afford basic things and someone who seems to like you and can satisfy your needs but you don't like.
There's this saying I learnt at work. It's not your fault if your parents are poor but it's your fault if your father-in-law is poor.

I know having to make this choice happens often, but I just can't imagine how the heart will ever be satisfied in rejecting love and happiness for material things. I guess it depends on the person and what is of paramount importance to him/her.

True. Sometimes, your background forbids you from falling in love with certain people too. You're not even given the option to choose.

Even if one is not given the option to choose, one can still do so. But I know it takes courage to break away from what is prescribed.

Love is important, but again hmmn money is important too, love will eventually die when there is no money to even meet your basic needs. So sometimes you need to use ur head and not ur heart.

:D...What happened to the days when men and women of ambition but no means who love each other greatly come together and build a wonderful future together (It might have been novels I've been reading this but I'm somehow convinced it happened frequently in the past).

it is very important to be stable financially because the love could turn sour if there's no money o.unless the couple are used to such condition ,then they could manage and perservere.but OTHERWISE......
