I watched district 9 recently and was surprised at the way Nigeria was portrayed. Nigerians were the criminal gangs headed by Obasanjo (the name of our former president) who believed in dumb voodoo. I heard the minster of information has banned the film in Nigeria (not sure). If it's true, it's a dumb move- other countries will watch it. Such portrayal is rather unfair but I really don't feel sad, our leaders failed us. So much for rebranding. What do you think?
