Pastor Tunde Bakare to run for presidency in 2011?

Postby BigBrother on Mon Nov 10, 2008 5:20 pm

I stumbled on today's PM News with a headline suggesting Pastor Tunde Bakare will run for presidency in 2011. Although reading the article I did not see anywhere the man of God expressly stated he will run in 2011 except maybe
“Who told you this is my last bus stop? If God wants me to rule, why not, but I am not desperate,” he told a stunned audience.
‘I’ll Run For Presidency’—Pastor Bakare...but I hope he does. He is quite intelligent and a man of integrity. If I was told this before November 4th, I would have said he had zero chance of winning but with Obama's victory, I have hope. He will be a better candidate than Pastor Chris Okotie or Pat Utomi for me. What do you think about Tunde Bakare's aspirations?

There comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular, but he must take it because his conscience tells him it is right....as far as its in God's direction.
An event that has not taken place cannot become an history, America's Barrack Obama has made history in the United State Of America and the black populace as a whole... In Nigeria change can never be far from us if he choose to run for presidency i believe he will be a better candidate than the ones we have produced in the past we need a change and a turnaround in the policies of our nation Nigeria.
Let us give change a chance as it is the United State Of America...

This is surprising, it cannot be true, all these are rumors that have no basis, God's servant has all the boldness to declare fearlessly whatever God has laid in His mind, and He has not said He is running for the Presidency , Let Rumor mongers mind their business.

Newspapers put what ever it is they think will sell in the papers at all times, whether it is true or not.

His interest in the Nigerian politics is part of his mandate- "Preach, pray and prophecy until revival comes...". His main interest is actually to see that the Nigeria of our dreams emerge- A Nigeria where God can truly reign supreme and where every man contributes his quota towards the development of the nation and the welfare of others.

I look forward to this New Nigeria. I am tired of what we have today and we all need to ARISE and say No! to this present degradation, selfishness and total disregard for others' lives. I am sick of the things I see everyday I step out of my house to go to work.

This is an awareness for all the youths of our nation- we have to rise up to say NO to corruption and all what nots. We need to make up our minds to let this change happen. America's dream has come to pass, will ours see the light of day?

Its up to us to make our nation a better place.

See you when we indeed get there!

I don't believe in too much talk or hype. If he's a serious candidate he should come out bold when its time and present himself before the people. I'm sure nigerians would be able to seperate the chaff from the wheat when the time comes. My advice is simple ' DO NOT DECLARE UNDER PDP PLATFORM" Those people do not love this country.

Pastor Tunde Bakare is a man I respect and will continue to. He has the intelligence to realise that priests and kings have different callings. In their own right, the rule... the latter rules the nation, the former rules the hearts of the people. He is already a ruler in his own rights.

it will be d greatest grace from God for poeple like him. We need result oriented and not push around to make things happen like Obama. My joy will know no bounds if he could do away with sentiment of parties and join any one, he could be a resources to make the change like obama.I am available to work as campaign strategist if called upon. Am a reserach and development management consultant.
