While interviewing today with one of the big four financial service firm, I asked the question what were the challenges working there. The interviewer who was a partner was quite honest that it was tedious which was expected and he said at the initial stage he had to lose all his former friends and made new ones within the firm and clients because there was just no time and you work long hours. When I heard lose your friends, I will confess, my heart skipped a beat. Knowing you will be losing your life to the company, will you be eager to pick up the offer?

So if u loose d job when u've lost ur friends already what do u got....

He had to make new friends at work and clients he serve. So, eventually, there are still friends but he lost his old friends and that's making me uncomfortable

I cant just imagine it.

You will lose your friends only if you want to lose them. Working long hours will mean you will see less of them, not necessarily that you will lose them. Life is made up of phases, each phase comes with its own priorities. It may take a while to organize the priorities and map out a balance, but it will come.

I can't bear to lose my friends. That's why they are supposed to be called friends.
I still have it in mind although I'm going to delay it for a at least a year. I don't think my parents will find it pleasant paying for graduate school in this hard times .

Mister, what you gonna do with the money you will work for? Give the old folks a break.

That's why I am delaying for a year - to save, save and save!

well if the pay is good the money will wipe my tears away...lol
